Tokyo Superguide iPhone app now available

Friday, 20th August, 2010 | iPhone | Comments Off

The Tokyo Superguide iPhone app, created for Superfuture Corporation is a beautiful travel guide with maps, itinerary manager and points of interest.  The app needs no internet connection to operate thereby making it the perfect travel companion if you are going to Japan.

The primary requirement was to retain the look and feel of the successful printed PDF guides.  Mogeneration created a custom mapping solution (not based on Google or Openmap) which meant the maps look and feel exactly as the Superfuture wanted them too.

The maps automatically change from day mode (dark on light) to night mode (light on dark) depending on time of the day – or the user can shake the phone to flip modes.

Mogeneration talk about iPad on ZDNet patch Monday podcast

Monday, 24th May, 2010 | iPad | Comments Off

This weeks theme is “Trawling for Aussie Apple iPad apps”

“On Patch Monday this week, a look at the iPad from an Australian perspective.

Keith Ahern, CEO of award-winning mobile consultancy Mogeneration, explains why he’s enthusiastic about the iPad and why it represents a whole new approach to computing. He talks us through Medwords, the company’s medical app, and reveals a surprising choice for his favourite iPad application.

And from Salmat Digital, executive general manager Paul Marshall explains the logic behind the Lasoo app, an iPad front-end to the Australian shopping catalogue site Lasoo.com.au. He thinks the iPad is the perfect shopping platform.

Plus we have Stilgherrian’s usual idiosyncratic look at the week’s IT news headlines.”

Testimonials

“Mogeneration have been excellent to deal with. I gave them all the data (over one million words or 1900 pages of A4) and they have converted it into a app for iPad, iPhone and iPodTouch. This has been a quite complicated process due to the amount of data and the extensive cross referencing as well as tables and pictures.”

“We’ve been thrilled with the work mogeneration have done … they quickly came up to speed with our requirements, created a design brief and a plan, and worked closely with us to create an app of which we’re really proud.”
