The Coastalwatch app was one of our first apps and went right to the top of the app store charts when it launched in August 2009. In fact that same week we also launched Food Watch NSW which went to #1 in the reference category of the Australian App store.
Since we started as Australia first dedicated iPhone app company in October 2008 we have shipped an incredible 24 apps for many Australian and International customers. Our apps have topped the charts in several countries. A recent app broke the top 20 paid entertainment apps in the US – that means it had thousands of sales EVERY DAY.
2010 will be mogeneration’s best year yet and will see the launch of some fantastic iPad and iPhone apps.

Sydney, February 12th 2010. Mogeneration win Best Mobile Startup at the Next Web Australia Awards
Mogeneration are delighted to win the Next Web Australia “best mobile startup” award. “Many people remarked we were crazy to start a software company for an expensive phone in the middle of the worst recession for 30 years”, notes co-founder and CEO Keith Ahern, “but we knew the iPhone was a game changer and we wanted to be part of that”.
16 Months later Mogeneration have released an unbelievable 24 iPhone applications and several Android apps. Mogeneration have grown from the two person team of Keith Ahern and Tom Adams to 12 employees today. Mogeneration’s customers include many corporate customers both from Australia and the US including News Corp, NRMA, Coastalwatch and Getprice as well as governments and universities.
The Next Web Award confirms Mogeneration’s success, stating “there’s no denying the influence they’ve had over the mobile industry in 2009.”
Going forward Mogeneration are focusing on delivered the world’s best iPhones apps for its customers, but that’s not all. ”We have already received great interest in iPad applications and have some prototype apps running internally” says Keith, “our mobile publishing platform, which allows companies to quickly gain a presence on iPhone, iPad and Android has received a surge in interest since the announcement of the Apple iPad in January.”
